Everyone that I met was so kind and encouraging and I felt like I was in good hands. He does great work that has had such an incredible impact on my self-esteem! I was diagnosed with breast cancer in January 2021 and my surgeon, Dr. Lee, gave me a few reconstruction plastic surgeons to choose from. After doing research, I chose Dr. Bidros and I'm so glad that I did. As nervous as I was going in, his calm and reassuring demeanor helped alleviate my anxieties. I decided to go with the DIEP flap surgery based on his knowledge and expertise and couldn't be happier! I was lucky that the double mastectomy removed my cancer and that I was able to continue with reconstruction 2 weeks later. I'm still in the healing process but having breasts that look and feel natural is awesome. I knew my biggest mental hurdle would be the change in my body but Dr. Bidros did an amazing job! And because of his awesome work, it gives me the motivation to continue a healthier diet and lifestyle. Because honestly, who would want to mess with perfection? I was advised by Dr. Lee to get a mastectomy so she gave me a few referrals & after I did a little research I chose Dr. Bidros. So I made an appointment & spoke w Odessa & Dr. Bidros & I decided this was definitely the guy for the job so we scheduled my procedure. So first part of November I had the Diep Flap procedure done. I was so scared but at same time was glad to get over with. First surgery was rough afterwards. It took a bit for me to heal, but I've never been a fast healer. Had a smaller procedure after that, then the final procedure in March of this year. I'm feeling much better, slowly but surely I'm healing, & EXTREMELY happy w the results. I had implants & I told Dr. Bidros I trusted him completely on what he thought was safe. He did an AMAZING job. His staff is Wonderful!!! Sonia I can't say enough good about. She always made me feel better when I was there. Any questions I had she helped with, & always was very helpful with suggestions. She always helped me so much. Update: 11/20 This is a quite long, but I hope a helpful, thorough account of my journey...because I know how desperately I was looking for this kind of information in the midst of my worry and journey. I hope it helps someone out there <3 I required a bit of a reconstruction adjustment, typical to post-cancer flap reconstruction. I was pretty darned happy with how I looked after Dr. Bidros' first effort, I had a better body, and some nice, natural looking breasts, but some radiation-compromised tissue left some damage that showed itself later. I went through a revision in late October to address this issue, and 'touch up' (lipo some areas and some scars and other small issues Dr. Bidros felt he could approve upon after the healing gave way to a picture. I had a LOT of radiation to both breasts (3 time survivor), and was warned by everyone that my results would be affected. During my first reconstruction (at the time of my DBL MX), things looked great out of the gate. But, I had a nipple failure on my right side as well as a couple other place of concern (help wanted, lol)- it wasn't a disaster, but I wanted better. More so, my great doctor did, too. After discussion about how, where, and why, and my fear of taking ANYTHING from the amazing left gorgeous breast I have now, he managed to build me a equally amazing right nipple from a wee bit of earlobe. It is amazing. I am so happy, willing to talk to anyone considering Dr. Bidros, and have sent three of my dear friends to him for consultation, because, well, he made me feel like a real, live, human, pretty woman for the first time since my first diagnosis in 2013. And his staff....they behave in a way that makes me believe they think about him in that very same respect. They are caring, responsive, and on top of their respective roles that makes every experience with them a complete pleasure. Honestly, I'll miss them when, inevitably,I will no longer need their services. More

A nurse, who worked with plastic surgeons for 20 years, was amazed with the preciseness of the incisions and the overall outcome of my recent breast reduction.. The incision from having some lymph nodes removed was uncomfortable, Dr. Bidros cleaned up the tissue so it's flat and no longer bothersome. Living with Gynecomastia brought many years of insecurity and embarrassment. The idea of having surgery was a bit scary and opted for other non-evasive alternatives, but soon realized that there was no true alternative other than surgery. After several years of doing research and visiting several doctors, I found it difficult to proceed until I met Dr. Bidros. He was knowledgeable and took his time to explain every step of the process unlike other doctors who were too brief with me in the past and left me with many unanswered questions. After surgery, I finally felt relief and more comfortable with myself. Surgery was on a Thursday and I was back to work on Monday. In May of this year I saw Dr. Bidros for Plastic Surgery. I had just been informed that I had cancer and would need a mastectomy and reconstructive surgery. I was actually in shock and everything that anyone told me was not real. At first, everything was negative and I wanted no part of anything especially surgery. On May 25th the surgery was performed and Dr. Bidros did a fantastic procedure. On July 4th I developed a hematoma and on the 5th was my second surgery and as he completed the second surgery he was able to do the total reconstructive surgery. As of today, July 27th I am doing fantastic. Dr. Bidros performed an excellent reconstructive surgery and has an excellent personality and bedside manner. I am a small framed woman , recently had a baby and use to weigh 113 . After having my baby I lost all my wieght but stayed at 122 "( all the extra weight was in my midsection. September Thursday 1- September 5 Monday I had 5 days to heal before work 5ft 122 pounds (day of surgery) I went in for surgery and of course was nervous . I was given my prescriptions prior to surgery so in can start taking them after my procedure. For nausea (took one day right after surgery) it was pretty bad the first day but totally bearable anxiety (took like 2 times ) Hydrocodone (6 days) I returned back to work in 5 days . I was alittle sore and had some fluid retention. To mention i work as a hairstylist so I don't have to sit. I am 22 years old and was close to an F cup. I looked into breast reduction surgery a couple of years ago. I did research constantly and decided that this was the way to go. 40 Year Old, 3 C-sections- Liposuction Only - Houston, TX - Dr Bidros is the best plastic surgeon and was the perfect match for me. He was so easy to talk to, his bedside manor was great! Of course we care about bedside manner, but we all know honestly that our number one goal is good results. I am only four days post label section and I already can tell the results will be excellent. I am wearing a compression garment 24 seven. I'm taking ibuprofen 600 mg three times a day. And I'm also taking Arnica three times a day. The swelling was significant from day one but it gets better significantly each day. For any breakthrough pain I'm using one Percocet tablet. I'm not over doing it I'm trying to take it easy. I am so glad I took the full 10 days of work. More

The BEST Decision I Ever Made- Dr.Bidros is AMAZING. Houston, TX - I did a breast reduction at another doctor that went terribly wrong....I thought my breasts would NEVER be the same. I had crazy scarring all over the initial incisions, and one of my areola was completely gone. I went to multiple surgeons in the Houston area, but as soon as I did my consultation with Dr. Bidros, I felt completely comfortable with him. He was able to remove ALL the scarring and reconstruct the nipple area. I was diagnosed with breast cancer late November, 2014. My surgeon was prompt and I was instructed to see a plastic surgeon in the mist of all that was to be done prior to a surgery date. She gave me several names. I began searching for information of where the Drs were and of information I needed prior to different kinds of surgery for breast reconstruction. I was told to seek more than one plastic surgeon. I made my appointment with Dr. Bidros only. His reviews were outstanding. His knowledge was exactly what I was searching for due to the type of reconstruction I wanted. After meeting with him, I then had no doubt he understood how I felt about all that was happening to me. He and his wonderful staff helped me every step of the way. Mandy is such a joy! Dr. Bidros is truly working with you at all times. I'm thankful for him being such a wonderful, kind and intelligent surgeon. He is perfect and he is the Best Plastic Surgeon. He gave me my life back and even better. There is and was no reason for me to have seen another plastic surgeon. I never did. After meeting Dr. Bidros I read of the types of reconstruction and Dr. Bidros happened to do that surgery.
