Breast Reconstruction performed on Houston female | Case 26769

This Houston area female patient consulted with Dr. Bidros following a diagnosis of right breast cancer. She has a history of breast augmentation. Dr. Bidros explained her breast reconstruction options in detail, including the need for 3 surgeries to complete her reconstruction. Dr. Bidros performed her first surgery immediately following a right skin sparing mastectomy. Dr. Bidros focused his attention on her right breast during this surgery - inserting a tissue expander, performing a capsulectomy (due to capsular contracture) and inserting alloderm. Dr. Bidros performed her second surgery 5 months after the initial surgery. The tissue expanders were removed and Allergan textured implants were implanted. Dr. Bidros performed a left breast reduction mastopexy to achieve breast symmetry. Upper chest wall fat grafting was also performed. Dr. Bidros completed her last surgery by performing right areolar reconstruction with a full thickness skin graft, using skin from her inner thigh. Her post-operative photos were taken 6 months following her last surgery.
