This Houston area female patient consulted with Dr. Bidros with a need for breast reconstruction due to right breast cancer. Dr. Bidros performed her surgery in two stages with the first being breast reconstruction following a nipple sparing mastectomy. During the first stage, Dr. Bidros performed a DIEP flap (autologous breast reconstruction), which made use of the patients own tissue to reconstruct the breast. The patient received a tummy tuck as part of this procedure. During the second stage ( 3 months after the first stage), Dr. Bidros performed right nipple reconstruction, right fat grafting to her upper chest wall, right nipple free dermal graft and left breast lift (mastopexy) to achieve breast symmetry.
