If you don't want to look your age (or older), it's important to have a firm, lifted butt. The elasticity of your skin and the shape of your butt are determined by your weight, genes, and age, but plastic surgery can help you defy these factors for smooth, youthful curves. Butt lift surgery (medically known as a gluteoplasty) removes excess skin from the buttocks area, then lifts the tissue and muscles for a better shape and position. Houston area patients can enhance their buttocks with a buttock lift by board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Rafi Bidros. By removing the excess skin and fat, you can have smoother curves and a more youthful position with butt lift surgery.

"Dr. Bidros and his staff are truly wonderful. After three bouts with cancer, he brought me through in the most beautiful way. Happier than I’ve been in many years, and I will recommend him every chance I get. He has a wonderful team with him, and they deserve every bit of my thankful respect. I am lucky to have a team of doctors I love, but their staff, not so much. Not so here. It is a joy every step of the beautiful way with his staff, his work, and his practice. I feel blessed my doctors put him at the top of my list. He is helping me feel pretty again!"- M.S. / Google / Aug 07, 2020
"It’s taken me forever to get to writing a review, but I had such a wonderful experience with Dr. Bidros and his staff. Everyone that I met was so kind and encouraging and I felt like I was in good hands. He does great work that has had such an incredible impact on my self-esteem! After an entire life spent feeling bad about certain parts of my body, I just so happened to hear about Dr. Bidros’ practice on the radio while I was rushing to work. Even in my rush, I decided to make the call to get information and I am so glad that I did or I would’ve missed out on a great opportunity to be worked on by a highly skilled doctor and supported by a caring staff. They are all so welcoming and I am very appreciative of their help through the whole process. Would 100% recommend!!"- M.O. / Google / Aug 27, 2021

During your surgery, the patient is placed on their stomach to allow Dr. Bidros a better view and accessibility to the buttocks area. Dr. Bidros will make an incision above the buttocks, from hip to hip, then remove excess skin and fat. Next, Dr. Bidros will adjust the position of the tissue and muscle to elevate the buttocks and give it a more youthful shape. Liposuction may be performed in combination with the buttock lift to remove unwanted fat to contour the hips and back.
The buttock lift is usually performed as an outpatient procedure in an accredited surgical facility with the patient under general anesthesia. On average, patients will return to work in 1 - 2 weeks after their surgery. Bruising and swelling will be present for approximately 2 - 3 weeks. To avoid stretching your incision, you must refrain from strenuous physical activity for at least 4 - 6 weeks or until you are given permission by your doctor. Dr. Bidros will give each patient specific instructions and helpful tips to follow before and after their surgery.

Butt Lift FAQs
The buttock lift may be performed with other plastic surgery procedures, as determined by you and Dr. Bidros. For example, a tummy tuck may be done at the same time, if the buttock lift is done as part of a post-weight loss surgery. A butt lift is also commonly combined with liposuction and a lower body lift.
Brazilian Butt Lift?
Despite its name, a Brazilian butt lift is not really a butt lift. Brazilian butt lifts increase the volume of the buttocks by adding fat taken from another area of the patient’s body. A Brazilian butt lift does not address excess skin or raise the position of the butt. A Brazilian butt lift (fat transfer to the buttocks) can be combined with a butt lift to optimize the patient's results.
Dr. Bidros may suggest adding buttock augmentation using fat grafting, to restore volume to the buttocks along with your butt lift. An augmentation plus lift will give you a fuller shape, remove excess skin, and give your rear a more youthful position.
