What are Crow's Feet?
Crow's feet are fine lines that form around the corners of your eyes. They are commonly called smile lines, laugh lines, or lateral canthal lines. As a normal part of the aging process, Crow's feet may be caused by a few different factors, including genetics, UV exposure, and repetitive facial expressions. These lines can make us appear more aged than we actually are, and more people are looking for new techniques to soften their appearance. Luckily, at MyBodyMD, we specialize in cutting-edge treatments for Houston, TX, individuals hoping to reduce the overall appearance of Crow’s feet. Call our trained team now to learn more information and to set up a consultation with Dr. Rafi Bidros.
What Are the Causes of Crow's Feet?
Crow’s feet, again referring to those fine lines that form at the outer corners of your eyes, develop over time due to repeated facial expressions like smiling and squinting. As your skin naturally loses collagen and elasticity with age, it becomes less able to bounce back from these movements. Other factors that can accelerate crow’s feet include sun exposure, smoking, and environmental damage, all of which break down the skin’s supportive structure more quickly.
How are Crow's Feet Treated?
Therer are a number of treatment options available to lessen the appearance of Crow’s feet. Topically applied therapies, like serums and creams that contain retinol, hyaluronic acid, or Vitamin C, might help enhance collagen production and help with skin tightness. Cosmetic injectables, including BOTOX® and dermal fillers, may temporarily soften the appearance of creases and fine lines. Laser-based treatments could rejuvenate the skin circling the eyes and diminish the visibility of lines and wrinkles. Surgical procedures, like a facelift or blepharoplasty, may also be beneficial to solve serious wrinkles near the eyes.
What are the Symptoms of Crow's Feet?
The most common sign of Crow's feet is the appearance of fine lines around the corners of the eyes. These lines may become deeper and more pronounced over time. Additional signs might also include:
- Dry skin and thinning skin tissue: Crow's feet can cause the skin around the eyes to become thin and dry, and this may make it more susceptible to wrinkles and fine lines.
- Dark circles: As the skin surrounding the eyes gets thinner, it might also become more translucent, allowing dark circles to be more visible.
- Sagging skin tissue: Crow's feet can also make the skin near the eyes droop downward, and this could give the appearance of under-eye bags or puffiness.

So easy to talk to and understand. Thank you!!!
Dr Bidros and his entire staff is wonderful, they made me feel so comfortable the very 1st time I meet them, he is the best plastic surgeon I have ever meet and would recommend him highly to anyone needing plastic surgery, his work is awesome.
Dr. Bidros and his staff are truly wonderful. After three bouts with cancer, he brought me through in the most beautiful way. Happier than I’ve been in many years, and I will recommend him every chance I get. He has a wonderful team with him, and they deserve every bit of my thankful respect. I am lucky to have a team of doctors I love, but their staff, not so much. Not so here. It is a joy every step of the beautiful way with his staff, his work, and his practice. I feel blessed my doctors put him at the top of my list. He is helping me feel pretty again!
I would give Dr Bidros a 100 start review if possible. This is my 3 surgery with him each of them great results and after care. His team is awesome all the girls are very sweet. I am a happy patient. Love Dr Bidros he is a great surgeon and person. Would highly recommend to friends and family. Could not ask for a better Dr.
I had my breast reduction with Dr Bidros after doing 6 other consultations. I choose Dr Bidros because of his honesty when answering my questions, addressing ALL of my concerns and even his nurses and office staff are respectful which is HARD to find unfortunately. Fast forward to the day of my surgery, Dr Bidros came in, got me ready, and even reminded that I’m in great hands. After surgery Dr Bidros spoke with my family and kept them in the loop about my care. During my healing process I had an issue, called the office and was able to speak with Dr Bidros which is different from leaving a message and getting a call back within 24 BUSINESS hours especially after having surgery. His bedside manner is also HARD to find!! If you’re searching for a surgeon who’s a perfectionist with amazing office staff give them a try. I searched for months until I found Dr Bidros and I hope this review can help someone who searched long and hard like I did.

Frequently Asked Questions
Am I too young to get Crow’s feet injections?
There’s no specific age that’s “right” for wrinkle relaxers. Instead, it's more about how your skin is aging. If you’re starting to see fine lines around your eyes that linger even when your face is at rest, our team can assess whether preventive or corrective treatment makes sense for you.
The eye area is very active, so it’s true that wrinkle relaxers around the eyes may wear off slightly faster than in less mobile areas. Most patients enjoy results for 3-4 months, and regular maintenance treatments can help preserve a smoother, natural look.
How can I keep Crow’s feet from getting worse?
Sun protection, quality skincare, and staying hydrated go a long way in preventing deeper lines. If you want to be more proactive, our team can recommend a personalized approach using gentle wrinkle relaxers, skin tightening treatments, or even medical-grade skincare products.
Are crow’s feet treatments painful?
Most patients find crow’s feet treatments very tolerable. Injections are performed with a small needle and take just a few minutes. If you're getting laser treatment or microneedling, a topical numbing cream may be applied to keep you comfortable. Our team prioritize patient comfort and walk you through every step so you know exactly what to expect.
Is there any downtime with crow’s feet treatment?
Many of the treatments offered at MyBodyMD require little to no downtime. You can often return to work or your normal routine the same day. Some patients may experience mild redness, swelling, or bruising, but these effects are typically temporary and fade quickly.
How soon will I see results after treatment?
It depends on the treatment. With BOTOX or similar injectables, results usually begin to appear within 3–5 days, with full effects visible in about 10–14 days. Fillers can produce almost immediate smoothing. Laser and skin-rejuvenating treatments may take a few weeks to reveal gradual improvement as collagen production increases.
