Dr. Bidros administers Belotero with or without a topical anesthetic, depending on the preference of the patient in about 15 – 30 minutes. Dr. Bidros will tailor each treatment to the patient with a carefully chosen dosage, formula, and injection sites. The injections are made in the chosen areas of the face and many cause mild pain or discomfort.
What To Expect
Patients should expect to see mild swelling and redness for a few hours after the Belotero® treatment. Most patients are able to return to light activities immediately, but strenuous activity, like exercise should be delayed for at least a few hours. The results of the Belotero injection will make the skin look restored and younger immediately and most patient’s results last 6 – 12 months.
A Belotero treatment costs about $400 - $600 for each syringe used. The cost of the syringe is determined by the amount of treatment in the syringe, the type of formula that is chosen, and the depth that will need to be reached for the patient’s goals. Some patients may only need 1 syringe during a treatment, but other patient’s may require 2 – 3 syringes.

Belotero is one of many wrinkle fillers available, including several with hyaluronic acid. However every filler has its own strengths and benefits. Belotero works well on the mid and deep dermis, which is the depth needed to correct moderate and severe facial wrinkles. Belotero is also very effective at treating folds, such as the nasolabial folds (laugh lines). Dr. Sorokin will discuss the different fillers during the initial consultation and make recommendations based on the patient’s goals and expectations.
Belotero has been approved by the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) after thorough testing for safety and efficacy.
Belotero Vs. BOTOX?
Belotero is an injection that fills in the lost volume that causes wrinkles and folds. BOTOX is a muscle relaxer that prevents dynamic wrinkles caused by repeated muscle contractions. The Dr. Bidros will explain the differences between wrinkle fillers and wrinkle relaxers during the initial consultation and if one treatment or both will be the best treatment for the patient’s concerns.
