This Houston area female patient consulted with Dr. Bidros after receiving the results she had a BRCA gene mutation, which means she has a genetic predisposition to breast cancer. Dr. Bidros discussed at length her breast reconstruction options, which would include a 2 phases of reconstruction. She elected to undergo a mastectomy with immediate breast reconstruction.
