Restylane is a safe and natural cosmetic filler that restores volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. It is the first and only cosmetic dermal filler made of non-animal-based hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that already exists in the human body, which provides volume and fullness to the skin. Restylane offers a number of solutions that vary, depending on the needs of the patient. Our Houston office is proud to offer both Restylane SILK and Restylane Lyft.
The hyaluronic acid in Restylane is a crystal-clear gel called NASHA (Non-Animal Stabilized Hyaluronic Acid). NASHA is biodegradable and completely biocompatible with human hyaluronic acid. Restylane is a safe, natural formulation, so there are no delays for allergy testing prior to treatment. The simple procedure can be done by board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Rafi Bidros, during your lunch hour at his Houston office for immediate effects.
Restylane SILK is a great alternative for the nasolabial folds and the lips. It is one option offered by this outstanding line of fillers. Previously known as Perlane, Restylane Lyft is the latest member of the Restylane family and has been approved by the FDA for cheek augmentation, as well as to improve the appearance of the mid-face. Both Restylane SILK and Resylane Lyft treates moderate to severe wrinkles and offers an immedately liquid facelift for patietns.

"Dr. Bidros and his staff were very friendly and professional from the start. They all treated me with utmost respect and gave me their honest opinions while I was going through my planning for my procedure. When I was doing my research on finding the right surgeon for me, I saw great reviews and pictures of his work. When I went in for my consultation, I saw albums of his many travels to perform procedures for children with cleft palates etc. which melted my heart and showed me that Dr. Bidros is a selfless man that cares for others and does this line of work for all the right reasons. I literally had no pain or bruising after my surgery and my results are phenomenal! Healing time was also minimal! Dr. Bidros is very talented and I would definitely recommend him to my friends and family and will go to him for any future procedures! Thank you Dr. Bidros & staff!"- J.B. / Google / Dec 31, 2017

"I agree with a previous review, being referred to Dr. Bidros and his staff was a true blessing. I absolutely love Dr. Bidros, Mandy, Jackie and Connie. I was referred to him by my breast surgeon. He and his staff are so caring, kind, educational and compassionate. My personal experience was one of breast cancer reconstruction. I have been exceptionally pleased. When asked about breast cancer; I say the best thing that came out of a really horrible, frightening situation, are the highly skilled and talented surgeons and people that I have met along the way. He and his girls are at the top of that list. I am very grateful and extremely blessed to have been directed to his office and highly recommend him."- M.B. / Google / Dec 31, 2017
Restylane has been used in more than one million treatments in over 60 countries to correct a variety of wrinkles and to enhance the appearance and fullness of lips. However, it is currently indicated in the U.S. only for the treatment of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds. Restylane is injected directly into the skin in tiny amounts by an ultrafine needle, resulting in minimal discomfort. The procedure is simple and convenient, and results are practically instantaneous. To optimize your comfort during the short procedure, Dr. Bidros may anesthetize the treatment area.
Studies have shown that the average treatment results last six months or even longer. The unique NASHA technology helps maintain the cosmetic effect until the injected material is nearly gone. Restylane has been used safely by dermatologists and plastic surgeons since 1996 worldwide. Because Restylane is non-animal-based and fully biocompatible, allergy testing is not required. There is virtually no risk of animal-based disease transmission or allergic reaction. The most commonly reported side effects were temporary redness and swelling at the injection site. These effects typically resolve within two to three days.

The newest addition to the facial rejuvenation market is Restylane Silk. Restylane Silk, a hyaluronic acid, is part of the Restylane family. It is FDA approved for use in and around the lips, to smooth fine lines around the mouth, and enhance the lips. Restylane Silk differs from other hyaluronic acids in that it is made of smaller particles, making it the perfect option for your lips and lip lines.
Restylane lasts twice as long as collagen, so treatments are typically scheduled twice a year. Evidence shows that having a touch-up treatment before the product has fully dissipated will enhance the lasting effect.
Restylane Vs. BOTOX?
Restylane is a natural, cosmetic filler. In contrast, Botox is a drug that blocks nerve transmissions and relaxes the underlying muscles. Many patients have been very pleased after receiving treatment with both products.
More About Restylane?
Unlike other hyaluronic acid-based products, such as those made from rooster combs, only Restylane is non-animal-based. This quality virtually eliminates any risks of animal-based disease transmission or allergic reaction. Restylane requires no pre-testing, but you should take a few precautions before being treated. Avoid using aspirin, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications, St. John’s Wort, or high doses of Vitamin E supplements prior to treatment, because these may increase bruising or bleeding at the injection site. Also, if you have previously suffered from facial cold sores, there is a risk that the needle punctures could contribute to another recurrence.
