Breast Reconstruction | DIEP Flap performed on Houston female | Case 31433

This Houston, TX area female patient consulted with Dr. Bidros following a diagnosis of right breast cancer. Dr. Bidros throughly explained her breast reconstruction options - which would include a two stage surgery. Dr. Bidros performed immediate Breast Reconstruction following a right breast Mastectomy, which included her right nipple. Dr. Bidros performed reconstruction of her right breast with a stacked DIEP flap - which is the reconstruction of her breast using her own skin. In this case her skin came from her abdominal area, resulting in a Tummy Tuck for the patient. A right Mastopexy (breast lift) and right nipple reconstruction were also performed. Her second surgery would include a Bilateral Breast Reduction to achieve breast symmetry, fat grafting and nipple reconstruction. She healed nicely from both surgeries and loves her breast reconstruction results.
